If you are reading this, you are most likely interested in one of three things. You were removed for being inactive, you quit and want to come back. Or you were banned and became unbanned. Let me assure you, on our site, we take things liberally. However, we do tend to make it enforceable, to ensure our site isn't ganged up on by sudden disappearances and quick returns.

On many sites, they have strict guidelines for quitting, being banned and what counts as being active. I think our site is a little unique is that we don't mess around with trying to lay on the guilt thicker than grandma. We rather try to be as liberal as we can, without letting people get away with murder, metaphorically. Now, we don't want to be taken advantage of either, we are a living breathing thing. We have active members and staff and need to continue on with our site with or without you, and we hope and express graciousness when its with us. That being said, here is the information pertaining to activity and other such issues.

Quitting-

Quitting our site means giving up on us, our rules, your character and your work. If you haven't noticed during your stay here, several of our important area's have been put into a sort of "safe mode" for work and decisions and posts. We do this to prevent people from deleting there custom clans, jutsu's, and other such important information, in the event that they do not wish to return. We also make it a practice to not delete accounts or too let members/staff delete accounts. This is to ensure that a proper moral ground is established, especially if someone tries to say we stole or copied something when they chose to delete there account.

On our site, there is no "void" and no "purgatory" where characters go when no one longer role plays with them. We have a storage bank that can hold a character and his items in a safe OOC place. But when quitting, this bank is no longer available to you the user. This brings us to our first issue.

1. If you choose to quit, and you have a character in storage, the character is removed from storage placed in some minor land to be determined by staff.

Some members have a wee temper when it comes to certain issues. We as staff tend to try and smooth over such concerns, but tempers flair and rise and hot-hotheadedness happens. Which brings us to our second dalliance into the world of quitting.

2. If you quit our site, and return, your character loses 1/3 of there experience and any/all skill points they have remaining. Simple right?

At times, life gets in the way, or heck maybe you like this other site better, or you honest to god hate someone on staff or even myself. So you leave and your holding a super rare MS, legendary item, super secret knowledge and you want to be clever. This is our third topic

3. When a member quits, and they hold a significant item, power, technique or object. Staff removes this from there possession before shunting them out into a minor land to be determined by staff.

Finally, we reach a topic that I rarely like to discuss, and loath to mention. I'm just going to give the fourth topic and move on.

4. If a member of the site chooses to quit, we as staff respect that. But we do not give into demands about removing your work, your custom creations and items. And we shall not do so. You are a member of our site, and our community, you are giving your work freely for others to enjoy and use. Sorry, we just won't oblige removing your things because your leaving. Again sorry for any inconveniences, but Forumotion TOS allows us to do so. (If your wondering if this is legal, it is. Forumotion TOS allows any founder/administrator to set if members are allowed to delete posts/topic's or accounts. The sole decision is in the hands of the founder/administrator. Posting and creating topic's on a forumotion site are to be given in a free manner. By posting and creating topic's you are freely giving up the right to have your work removed if/when you choose to no longer be a member of the site. This is in the TOS, and it does respect creative control. It does not give a member the right to have his work taken down because he no longer wishes to remain on the site. PERIOD)

Inactivity

There comes a time, where life just putting you through the ringer. Or maybe you stopped liking us. But for whatever reasons your activity has dipped, and you've become inactive. We'd love it if you could remain active forever, and really do enjoy seeing our members daily, bi-weekly and whenever they can. At times, we understand things get difficult and you need a break. But its important to understand that as a site, we too much continue to move forward and go on, which can mean without you should such timing occur. Our site won't put things on hold, or forgo certain things because you left, its not really fair to the site, or to our other members.

On our site, there is no "void" or "purgatory" in which a character falls into when you stop role-playing with that character. Nor do positions get held, and such. We strive to accommodate everything, but we also need to have some balance in how we rule in things. Waiting two weeks for you to get your act together in a plot topic just won't cut it. Which brings me to our first topic.

1. A character is deemed inactive if they have not posted in any IC related topic in 12 days. Why 12, well its longer than 7, and shorter than 14. So 12 days in our active cycle.

Sometimes things happen, in an invasion, a battle or a fight topic. Knowing the absence rules, and storage rules, we also have inactive rules to deal with just such people. This doesn't pertain to people directly involved in the topic, but people who are in a village being invaded, a huge bijuu style battle, or a large scale attack on the village.

2. When a person goes inactive, they are literally just standing in the same place, like in a video game where no one moves the controller. This means giant bombs, attacks can and do at times hit people, as they are standing around static in a dynamic environment.

Holding a position of power can be rough, or capturing someone that has seemingly disappeared into the void, even wanting some legendary items. There are some legalities to this, but we strive for a balance between wanting you to come back to us, and moving on with our lives.

3. People in a position of power, hold a legendary item and other such means. When going inactive such an item and/or position is removed from them. This prevents people from doddering them to get there unique things.

Sometimes, people come back from being inactive and nothing has happened. Or maybe something has happened to there character but death may not have been the outcome. Say your village was invaded and flooded. Your character wasn't killed directly, but until you return we can assume he was, just like in real life.

4. If a character hasn't died, or specifically been killed, and returns from being inactive. They lose 1/4 of there experience and all there skills points that haven't been used. They can then return to playing that character.

There are times when things can get heated on a site, or a member is trying to avoid a confrontation. Maybe they go out into the wilderness and hide themselves in an underground bunker of nigh impentrial invisibility. We believe this is acceptable in all fairness

5. If a member tries to game the inactive system, staff has the right to evoke the quitting rule, and move there character to a minor land at staff digression.

Staff also wants to balance things out when it comes to people who constantly make/do inactive kills, just to earn some loot or something. We believe this to be something that is pure meta-knowledge and meta-game, and do our best to ensure no fool play takes place.

6. When killing someone who is inactive, there are no rewards given, either through missions, killing, obtaining legendary equipment. And no permanent outcome may ensue from such a kill. (Turning them into a human puppet, getting to use them for Edo Tensai and other such sacrificial moves). You can use their DNA for implantation, but it is badly degraded and requires a Ijutsu Master + to preform the implantation.

We here at the site, would like you to enjoy being here, and actively role-playing, and look forward to your continued activity here with us.

Banned

Perhaps something went horrible wrong and you were banned from our site. We won't make apologies, nor will I mince words. You screwed up pretty bad to deserve a ban. Even if its for 24 hours, or 10 minutes. A site ban is some serious business. So let me quickly run down the rules

  • If you were banned on a time limit. You lose 1/2 your experience and any unused skill points
  • If you were banned for causing obscene damage to our site and its reputation, you will lose 240 chakra resources in addition to the previous statement.
  • When you are banned, your account will be added to a special group, you can no longer offer suggestions, comments, complaints or participate in the character bank system.
  • If you were banned, plot items and legendary things will be removed from your character.
  • You are no longer allowed to participate in contests or claim Holiday rewards and site bonuses.
  • If staff feels you are a continued threat to the site, you may wish to appeal. Appealing to the founder/owner usually means one of 2 things.
  • You apologize for your wrong doings and do your best to make amends.
  • Make a promise to us for continued good behavior and being a upstanding character attitude.

If you were banned, you can appeal to the founder/owner. I will personally look at the appeal, and make a decision. Generally a time limit ban will be carried out, but a permanent ban, or several week ban will be re-evaluated. If your banned, don't be discouraged, if your willing to abide by all those rules and you really wish to come back, we can work something out. I want people on my site, and I don't want to see a banned list longer all get up

I don't want to push the final issue any more, but I will say. I will do my best to forgive people who were banned, and to get over whatever personal issues I may have against them. But what I don't want to see.

Are members who return to our site, with false promises, then turn around in a bitter attitude and start killing members and amassing power just to make some sort of political statement. If you were banned, and you want to appeal. The best way to get it approved is too make sure your killing, maiming and general psychopath character behavior is left at the door. The second I get a whiff of it, your back on the banned list.
