Temp's Rules Empty
PostSubject: Temp's Rules   Temp's Rules EmptyThu Oct 03, 2013 8:49 pm

The basic rules of the site.

Rules For Everywhere:
The site isn't rated for children; you can do anything you want on this site as long as it follows all of the other rules.
You're encouraged to find loopholes. No system is perfect. The chuunin exams won't be perfect and you can loophole the rules as long as you logically can't be caught. Things will be fixed if they are abused enough, though. They won't ever be fixed for a topic in progress unless the rules are IC rules like chuunin exam rules that are announced publicly IC.
Don't abuse other members or harass them unless they deserve it or want to be harassed. Even if you're both troublemakers you'll know you're doing something wrong if you're causing trouble for a majority of the members. The site doesn't revolve around you unless you're strong enough to make it. If the entire chat doesn't like you then you're probably doing something wrong.
Spamming isn't allowed. You'll be warned and banned. If you look real malicious you'll obviously get banned right away. Common sense, people.
Advertising needs to be done in the appropriate area. Mass PM advertising will get you banned. It's alright if you PM links to a buddy or two but if you PM everybody or look like you're sneakily advertising then you'll get banned.
English language is the only language allowed for RPing on the forum. If you're on a chatbox alone with somebody else you can speak whatever language you want to speak if they know the language. If the chatbox is crowded and nobody knows the language you'll get kicked. Really though, this rule is only for people who spam some language and are trying to be annoying. Staff shouldn't kick people unless they're really disturbing people.
All of the other RP rules and forum rules. Invisible text isn't allowed, advertising in signatures...Common sense. Staff shouldn't use this rule unless other members and staff support them because apparently common sense isn't all that common sometimes.

Post rules:
48 hours is your time for posting. If you don't post within that time when it's your turn then you CAN be skipped.
Flashbacks need to have the topic title labeled such. You can do missions and anything in flashbacks. Having flashbacks allows you to have multiple topics. You can't die in them.
No one liners or ugly posts if you can. There's no specific word count for a reason. If people use one liners or ugly posts constantly but they're noobs then their posts won't be voided. They'll be taught how to get better after that post or they'll be killed along with teaching. But, if people are known as good RPers they shouldn't have constant one liner posts.
Intercepting people as they leave their topics and following people that leave their topics works in a specific way. Basically, if you want to interrupt or follow people you have to have a means to do so in the first place. If a person exits and they're on a completely different level of speed or have specific barriers to protect them they'll successfully leave the area. Even if people are slow they'll get out of a topic if they have the proper protection or means to hide themselves. You have an unlimited amount of time to interrupt if somebody doesn't post in another topic and you can follow. But, if you want to follow somebody you need the proper jutsu or means to do such a thing. Also, interruptions can take place in 24 hours even if you're in another topic. Consider the topic voided if you're interrupted.
Metagaming: Follow your character's IC personality. Don't metagame. If you want to have a different personality you have to RP out getting that personality over a certain period of time or get some specific brainwashing from somebody else. You can't brainwash yourself spontaneously, of course. Though, if your character pursues that sort of thing it'll probably take less time than full development of a personality to not have metagaming.
Post order should be followed. You post after the person who posted before you. If new people join the topic they'll posted after the person who posted before them. The order isn't ever disrupted unless everybody in the topic agrees for it to be.
Godmodding or superhuman feats you're incapable of will get your post voided.
Auto-hitting will get your post voided.
No editing after another's post.

System Rules:
Inactivity will have all of your items and information about your character placed in your last location if you didn't hide your items somewhere. People can come at any time and take such things if you don't come back from inactivity. Even if your items are hidden some place your character's entire information will still be revealed besides memories and past experiences. Basically, their arsenal is known. Only one person can claim this.
Returning from inactivity is possible except you'll be rogue. Not only that; you'll also be the staff's plaything for a certain period of time. This can be a good and a bad thing. You'll be able to be one of the people who participate the most in the plot as you'll be the plaything of the staff but you might not enjoy the plot.
Inactive people are people who don't post for 2 weeks. I suggest being active during that time for a few reasons. One reason is that the period of activity could be shortened to 1 week depending on how active the site becomes and if inactives are deemed unnecessary or needing a bigger push. Another reason is that I can personally check how inactive people are on a whim. I'll just press the groups, right click every person into a new tab, and then I'll look at their last post date. Takes about 30 minutes for me to do that. Maybe even less. Finally, there exists no limbo on this site unless you're on an absence. You'll get attacked if you're inactive.
Speaking of absences; you're not getting a high position or anything if I see you've had 5-10 big absences or you take them during crucial times of the RP. If you want to prove you deserve the position and are actually a strong RPer then you'll work your way up.
3 characters. 2 characters with any rank with only 1 being Kage and the 3rd is a genin.

In the ninja world, those that break the rules are scum, its true.
[You must be registered and logged in to see this link.]

【 Site Rules 】
【 General Rules 】
└Rating┘The site isn't rated for children; you can do anything you want on this site as long as it follows all of the other rules.
└Looping┘You're encouraged to find loopholes. The only restriction are contests, they are loophole proof (As they are OOC)
└Rules Belittlement┘The site rules are here for both yourself, and other members. They are not to be used as a club to beat an argument into staff, or to force a ruling in your favor. The rules are at the digression of staff, if your easily offended, or constantly picking fights, do not use the rules to garner support, if you do it, your just as at fault as anyone else.
└Meta-gaming┘This site doesn't tolerate meta-gaming, nor do we tolerate meta-gaming attempts in vast scales. Such as buying 500 camera's to record everything in your village, or nation wide jutsu to record everyone who enters/leaves the village. Such attempts will be denied and/or voided. Don't be a cheap-sake, do your own roleplaying.
└God-modding┘There is no god-modding. While characters are similar in strength and skill, there are subtle differences and attempts to circumvent those differences won't be allowed.
└Editing Posts┘Any post(s) that are found to be edited, without direct authorization from staff will be 100% voided and you will be liable for any and all hits and considered as if you didn't post. Also, editing posts to kill someone due to a 48 hour hit when your attack would not have killed them is also considered void and you will "lose" the opportunity to get said 48 hour hit. If multiple events occur you can be banned or stripped of power/status
└Other┘Spamming, Harassment, Advertising on the chatbox, invisible text and abuse of system shall not be tolerated. Common Sense, its our common sense, not yours.
└Absences┘ When you go on an absence, your character MUST exit the thread they are in. Regardless of the absence, failure to do so opens them up for free hunting. You have 48 hours to post exit, failure means your considered inactive. Absences longer than a month will make you removed from your position on staff/elite. Also, absences that show a return date that isn't follow moves you to the inactive rules. It isn't hard to find a phone or something to say "hey be gone two more days" rather than just show up w/e you feel like it.

【 Post Rules 】
└Post Time┘ 48 hours is your time for posting. If you don't post within that time when it's your turn then you CAN be skipped.
└Post Order┘ Post order should be followed. You post after the person who posted before you. If new people join the topic they'll posted after the person who posted before them. The order isn't ever disrupted unless everybody in the topic agrees for it to be.
└One-liners┘ No one liners or ugly posts if you can. There's no specific word count for a reason. If people use one liners or ugly posts constantly but they're noobs then their posts won't be voided. They'll be taught how to get better after that post or they'll be killed along with teaching. But, if people are known as good RPers they shouldn't have constant one liner posts.
└Good Standing┘ Often times around out site, you'll see references to "in good standing" which is a polite way of saying, not someone who is a SOB on our site. Someone who hasn't been banned, cheated, quit or is constantly causing trouble or flaming others.
└Feigned Malleability┘ There comes a time when something happens that catches your attention else where in the forum. Could be a event in another land, could be a fight just outside your village. This comes from the idea that people randomly stroll into your area for either help or threat. This type of malleability is most often found in character personalities, but sometimes is born from simply stupidity. Its not allowed, nor tolerated. If your trying to reflect that you like this person you just met, and also kill this other person you just met, there should be no biased process. Staff isn't stupid, if your OOC friends/buddies with someone, we know that your just feigning your malleability and will ask you to change accordingly. If it happens to often, we'll simply tell you how your "malleable/crazy character" is going to act next, and it 100% will be fighting your allies/friends/villagers. Once and a while is fine, but if suddenly an organization pops up with all your friends that have no connection to each other, prepare for some pimp slaps.
└Auto-Hitting┘ Auto-hitting will be voided and the punishment will result because of it. Simply put, just don't do it. This also stems into detailing what another character has, and using optimized location factor. Which is to say, don't detail what another character has, and don't detail where another ninja is. PERIOD, this includes things like saying another ninja is in a pit of snakes because he/she failed to say they weren't.
└Being Banned... or quitting┘ Sometimes you get banned, and we wish to tell you the three inevitable truths to being banned or quitting. If you quit, we'd be more than pleased to see you return. But you won't get your character back, same if your banned. Its lost... forever... unless someone claims then, then shoo da woop. Also, if your banned and return from a ban, you are forced to start as a genin without special circumstances.
└Interception┘ Interception is the hardest thing for most people to understand and grasp. So we try and make it simple. There are two conditions (3 actually) that follow interception rules. 1. Has the person entered another topic? If not, you are free to intercept them up until one month later (inactive rule) outside of one month, they are lost to the void. If they have, you must MUST follow the progression of topic's logically and within a reasonable amount of time. You have 5 days to follow someone topic to topic via scent, chakra sensing or anything really. If its been longer than 5 days, you lose the trail. That means you have to enter and exit each of there topic's, find the trace and follow it, including traveling rules into the 5 day limit. 2. Absence/Inactive, if you go on an absence you must exit your current topic, regardless of your situation, a simple [Exit] edited it (With staff approval). If they have gone inactive, you have a total of 1 month (28 days from the time they exited) to find and do/w/e with them. Remember, 48 hour rules apply, so doing it the last possible day means you found them, but attacking them that stretches over 48 hours from 28 days, will mean the target is lost. 3. If a member/staff is banned they are free game forever.  To legally post an exit, one must exit without being attacked and the exit must stand. Leaving and quickly posting in another topic when a full round hasn't been established means your exit is voided.

【 Inactivity Rules 】
└Inactivity ┘ Inactivity will have all of your items and information about your character placed in your last location if you didn't hide your items somewhere. People can come at any time and take such things if you don't come back from inactivity. Even if your items are hidden some place your character's entire information will still be revealed besides memories and past experiences. Basically, their arsenal is known. Only one person can claim this.

└Elite Holding  ┘Inactive people are people who don't post for 2 weeks.

└Absences┘ Speaking of absences; you're not getting a high position or anything if I see you've had 5-10 big absences or you take them during crucial times of the RP. If you want to prove you deserve the position and are actually a strong RPer then you'll work your way up. However, if you disappear for 6 months of the year, or take month breaks every few months, you will be restrained too being a genin. No more coming to role-play during Christmas so you can fiddle around then leave after break for 3 months while you get your act together. Also, the more absences you take, the less approval you'll have on being able to take them. Especially if its high ranks or legendary weapons/techniques. You'll eventually become a genin.
└Fighting Absence┘ You can't go on absence during a fight, critical moment, invasion, attack or anything. It won't be approved and you'll become fodder. This is to avoid all cheapness and rot.
└Alternate Characters┘ You can have as many characters as you like, however they must all be different ranks, and all active. One tiny thing though, your activity rules are at one week, meaning if you don't post for one week your declared inactive.
└Returning from Inactivity┘ Simple, you can return twice from unexcused inactivity so long as your character is alive/well. Simply put, after you return the second time (Fail to post in two weeks or one week) your character is declared inactive and free game, you can no longer post with it. Go ahead, catch people doing this, we encourage it as well

【 Big Four Rules 】
└Kill Shots┘ In a fight and you wish to kill someone by request of staff, and it will be looked at. One tiny inconsistency, if you have multiple kill topic's sent to be requested, and it is found you haven't taken a single hit in any of them, well considered yourself fair game for some shit to happen. Your not invincible nor are you "that good" to never take a hit, get over yourself.
└Herky Jerky┘ Did you get killed via inactivity, now your going to be a jerk and magically go after said person who did it? Yea no, get over yourself, you went inactive, these are the consequences, and don't even try to pull the "put a hit out on him" act, your friends might have fatal heart attacks on the spot... yikes
└Favoritism┘ Does someone have something approved, and you got denied by something oddly similar? Just because you are who you are? Or because how you may use it? Or because your beast already? Welcome to favoritism, all we need is proof and volia that staff gets reprimanded, 3 reprimands and they are fired. And your stuff is approved circa venta or its all denied circa venta
└Screaming Abuse┘ Going around screaming about biased/abusive crap? Take a number, or better yet, leave the site? No, don't want too... here's a ban to help. Its a game, screaming aboose at every ghost is a waste of our time, and our time is worth more than yours.... so here's your ban ticket, see ya next never.

【 Chat Box Rules 】
└Advertising┘ There are only a few things I can't stand on the chat box, and that's advertising your site, or bashing our religiously. I don't like it, I don't want it on my site and I don't want to catch people doing it. I won't mince words, I can't stand this, and its serious enough that you'll be fined around 200-500 Ninja Points for it. Simple, DON'T DO IT
└Spoilers┘ Put images in spoilers, its not that hard, please do it. All images must be in spoilers
└Don't have a definition┘ But I know it when I see it. You all should be familiar with this rule, don't be posting nasty, gross, perverted stuff in the chatbox. Its disgusting and it won't stand. There may be other things equally as disgusting but we have this as a rule.
└I mean it┘ As The Founder and Owner of this site, I ask and implore everyone to listen. When I say enough, I mean enough. No more arguing, whining, complaining, bitching, moaning or anything. I'm pretty tolerant of a lot of "freedom" people come to "expect" to have on a site, but what I can't abide by is when people constantly push and push after enough has been said.
